Job description:
-Fixed Income Technology division is looking to hire into its Whole
Loan Technology group to help in the development of enhancements to an
existing loan management system.
-To support one of our clients' core fixed income businesses and its
continual growth, there have been four strategic initiatives
identified:
-improve the scalability of the system to handle the growth in the
existing businesses
-improve the extensibility to handle additional products and businesses
-incorporate settlement functionality, transforming it into the firm's
books and records system for loan products
-expand to become a global platform
The candidate will join a strategic development team to extend and
improve the core services based architecture of the system.
Qualifications:
The ideal person is expected to have 3-6 years of Server-side
Java/J2EE development experience with excellent object oriented design
skills.
Experience in working for Wall Street firms in the mortgage and/or
whole loan areas is preferred.
In further detail, the individual is expected to have:
-Strong core understanding of algorithms, optimization, and
object-oriented design.
-Excellent design skills to transform business and technical
requirements into practical, efficient, and reusable technologies.
-Full understanding and extensive experience in applying and deploying
core Java and J2EE technologies into large scale mission critical
systems.
-The individual should ideally possess skills and experience on client
and server-side web based Java development, inclusive of EJB, JMS,
JNDI, JDBC, HTML, JSP, Javascript, Weblogic, Tibco, Ant, CVS, XML, and
Struts/Spring MVC.
-Strong data modeling and SQL skills. Data warehousing knowledge would
be advantageous.
-Sybase, Informatica, Business Objects, and Crystal Reports
familiarity is also a plus.
-Proficiency in navigating and utilizing the UNIX/Linux environment.
-Excellent communication skills to be able to intelligently express
ideas or concepts to team and other technical groups.
